Multi-award winning author, Roni McFadden, has received much attention for taking readers on her life’s journey in "The Longest Trail.” She has also been recognized for her national magazine contributions and editorials.
After a lifetime working with horses in California, Roni retired to Idaho where she currently resides with husband Johnny. They have five wonderful children with ever growing families spanning from coast to coast.
When she’s not writing, Roni enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on projects with Johnny - the love of her life of 50 years, and riding the other love of her life, Romeo, a stunning Leopard Appaloosa (@romeosmiracle). Roni also has a keen interest in family history and genealogy and has traced her roots all the way back to the 700's. She has long felt a powerful connection to the Ancestors native to the areas in which she grew up, and her passion to discover more about them is the driving force behind her comprehensive research of local history and First Peoples who once thrived there.
